DECATUR — The Decatur historical committee will host its second historical forum July 6 at 5 p.m. in the conference room at city hall.
The committee will open the event with a 30-minute business meeting before the forum.
The topic of discussion for the evening will be Crystal Lake, then and now.
Anyone with artifacts, news clippings or photographs about Crystal Lake, is asked to please bring them to the meeting. These items will be scanned and photographed and placed in the committee's archives. Unless otherwise arranged, all artifacts will be returned to the owners.
The historical committee is also looking for artifacts pertaining to Decatur history to fill its display case at city hall. Photographs, newspapers and small artifacts are welcome.
The Decatur historical committee meets on the first Wednesday every other month. The forums will continue on the first Wednesday of each month throughout the summer.
