Extension Club projects benefit girls club

WESTSIDE -- The Vaughn Extension Homemakers met May 4 at the Vaughn Presbyterian Church. The club has chosen Saving Grace Home for Girls as its yearly service project. Geraldine Carpenter, community service chairman, reported that members had donated 436 items for the girls in addition to their Christmas bags.

The county fair was discussed and "Turn Around -- Don't Drown" was chosen as the subject of the club's educational booth.

Following the meeting, members drove to Elm Springs to tour the chocolate factory and later enjoyed lunch together.
