Declining murder rates in gun-toting states has anti gunners concerned

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Declining homicide rates in states and cities which allow law-abiding citizens to own and carry guns have liberal anti gunners concerned their arguments in favor of banning private gun ownership and making Americans defenseless might be questioned by logical and thinking people.

Despite the arguments of anti gunners against Second Amendment freedoms, according to crime reports, cities and states which allow their citizens to own and pack guns have seen a significant decline in homicide and gun-related crimes. And the trend is continuing as more and more states pass laws restoring Constitutional rights to their citizens.

"It's nothing less than disturbing," said Vicki Smith, spokesperson for the Anti-Gun League of America. "We were hoping to see gun crime increase and senseless acts of rage become commonplace where private citizens are permitted to carry guns. But that hasn't happened and we're wondering what we can do about it," she said.

Liberal Democratic lawmakers are worried, too. The decline of violent crime in gun zones has caused them to fear voters might begin to see through their faulty campaign rhetoric.

"We've been telling voters that the only way to stop violent crime is to ban guns and disarm law-abiding citizens, but the reduction in crime where citizens are allowed to carry guns and the increase in shootings where guns are banned could make voters question our integrity," said Mike Lefty, D-Illinois.

The Obama Administration is concerned too. A member of the administration, on the condition of anonymity, told us the President had privately said the American people might question his right to issue executive orders to further restrict the rights of Americans to buy and sell guns if there are less gun-related crimes to exploit.

According to unconfirmed reports, the Administration has put a secret plan in place for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to release and re-arm convicted felons from places like Chicago, Detroit and Washington, D.C., and relocate them to cities and states with low homicide rates to lend the Obama Administration at least a shred of credibility. We've also learned the plan's new code name is "Crass and Injurious."

While some are worried about the decline, lower homicide rates in gun-toting communities are not all doom and gloom for left-wing liberals. They still take comfort in the fact that most of their constituent supporters are not logical and thinking people.
