GENTRY -- The Lady Pioneers took on the Green Forest Tigers April 25 for their sixth conference game of the season.
Ana Linch (senior) started the game off with a goal in the first half, assisted byAmber Ellis (junior). Haley Borgeteien-James (senior) dribbled up the field to score the second goal of the game. The third goal was scored off of a free kick by Ellis.
In the second half, however, the Lady Tigers got on the board when they took on the Gentry goalkeeper, Chastery Fuamatu, in a quick offensive transition and scored.
The final goal was by Linch in the last 15 minutes of the game. The final score in the game was, 4-1, Gentry.
"I think that our touches and talking improved during that game and everyone was connecting with each other better than we had previously," said Borgeteien-James after the game.
The Lady Pioneers' next game was to be be played at home on Monday, May 2, against the Berryville Bobcats.
