WESTSIDE — This is the weekend for yard- and garage-sale holders and shoppers. It's Pickin' Time on 59 weekend and the event promises sales from Siloam Springs to Sulphur Springs, both along Highway 59 and in the cities and towns along the state highway.
Pickin' Time on 59 begins tomorrow, Oct. 6, and continues through Saturday, Oct. 8. The three-day event will feature yard-sale items, antiques and collectibles.
More information and space to set up along the highway is available by contacting the chambers of commerce in Siloam Springs, Gentry, Decatur, Gravette and Sulphur Springs. In some cities, exemptions are being made for permits and fees for yard and garage sales. Many participants will also have their sales listed on fliers and maps promoting sales published by their local Chamber offices.
Pickin' Time spots in Gentry may still be available by calling 479-736-2358 or emailing [email protected]. In Gravette call Amanda at 479-344-6464. She has announced that the main location for vendors in Gravette will be the vacant lot between the Roberts-Philpott Eye Clinic and the Midcontinent Concrete plant.
