DECATUR -- Open enrollment for pre-K and kindergarten at Decatur Public Schools for the 2017-2018 school year will be Tuesday, May 9, and Wednesday, May 10, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pre-K enrollment will take place at its facility located at Decatur Middle School, 1441 E. Roller, 479-715-4450 or 479-640-7216. Kindergarten enrollment will be at Decatur Northside Elementary, 9083 Mt. Olive Rd., 479-752-3981.
Requirements for kindergarten enrollment are: the child must be 5 years of age on or before August 1, 2017, have a birth certificate, up-to-date immunization record, a current physical and Social Security card (or state-assigned waiver number)
Requirements for pre-K enrollment are: the child must be 4 years of age on or before August 1, 2017, have residency verification (recent utility bill), income verification for each caregiver listed (two consecutive paycheck stubs, W2s, tax return or notarized statement of unemployment), birth certificate, Social Security card (or state-assigned waiver number), 4-year-old health screening, current physical and up-to-date immunization record.
Parents of children who will be 3 years old by August 1 this year may fill out an application and may be given a spot in the program if it does not reach capacity.
