Gravette girls continue winning streak

GENTRY -- Freshman Cally Kildow struck out 14 and was 3-for-3 with a double and a triple to lead the Lady Lions (18-6, 13-1 4A-1) to a 6 to 1 victory over the Lady Pioneers in Gentry on April 19.

Kildow, an Arkansas Razorbacks pledge, allowed one earned run on four hits and walked two. Hannah Cole was 4-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI. Gabbie Curtis had two hits as Gravette finished with 14 hits in the game.

Brooke Boston singled and later scored on an error for the Lady Pioneers (10-14, 3-10) in the sixth inning.

Alyssa Kelton took the loss for Gentry.

Kildow also threw shutout games on April 17 and 18 last week against Prairie Grove and West Fork.

On April 18, Kildow struck out nine West Fork batters in four innings. She allowed one hit, no runs and walked one in the game. She was two for four with her bat and brought in four runs for Gravette.

Keeley Bulza was four for four, and had two RBIs in the league game. Bailey Elmore was three for three and hit a double and a home run to bring in two runs.

Prairie Grove 0

Against Prairie Grove on April 17, Kildow pitched seven innings and struck out 12. She allowed one hit in the game. She hit a double and brought in one of Gravette's runs with her bat.

Hannah Cole led in hits with two. She scored once.

Gabbi Curtis, Sydney King (running for Kildow) and Cole scored Gravette's three runs.
