Lady Bulldogs lose first conference game to Kingston

DECATUR -- Fans filled the bleachers at Peterson Gym Dec. 5 to watch the Lady Bulldogs take on the Kingston Yellowjackets in the first conference contest of the 2017-18 season.

The Lady Bulldogs took an early lead on a three-point shot by Paige Vann in the first minute of the contest. But halfway through that quarter, the Lady Yellowjackets fought back and tied Decatur at 5 all. Several missed opportunities by the Lady Bulldogs gave Kingston the lead 9-5 going into the second quarter. By the end of the half, the Yellowjackets expanded their lead by 19.

Decatur was unable to get any kind of drive going in the second half. The Lady Yellowjackets eventually overwhelmed the Lady Bulldogs 50-23, handing Decatur its first conference loss of the season.
