GENTRY — The Gentry Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet is set for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Wooden Spoon Restaurant in Gentry, with ticket sales now underway at the Chamber office.
Award nominations are being accepted for this year's Volunteer of the Year, Organization of the Year, Business of the Year, Shining Light Award (for a young person who goes above and beyond to make Gentry a great place to live), and Lifetime Achievement Award (for a longtime Gentry resident -- living or deceased -- who has dedicated his or her life's work to the city and the people of Gentry.
Nominations for awards should be sent to Gentry Chamber of Commerce at P.O. Box 642, Gentry, AR 72734 or emailed to [email protected] by Jan. 13. The Chamber board will review nominations and select the award recipients.
Banquet tickets are available at the above address for $25 per person. The Wooden Spoon will be serving dinner and dessert. Limited seating is available, so tickets need to be purchased soon to ensure a place at the banquet tables.
