Spring Fling Boredom Buster planned at library

GENTRY -- Kids of all ages are invited to the Gentry Public Library's Spring Fling Boredom Buster on Thursday, March 23.

Events start at 2 p.m. with a recognition of National Puppy Day. Mark Smithson, Gentry's code enforcement and animal control officer, will discuss animal adoption and care. If you have any old towels, animal treats, hard toys, cow hoofs or rawhide to donate to the Gentry Animal Shelter, bring them by and drop them into the donation bin.

A supervised mock stained glass activity, for children and adults, will run from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., followed by a Bookface Contest. Hot dogs and snacks will be served at 4 p.m. The day's activities conclude with popcorn and a viewing of The Secret Life of Pets from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

The Gentry Girl Scouts, Bloomfield 4-H and other youth organizations will assist participants with various activities. Everyone is welcome to these free library events. No reservations are required.
