Ellis signs to play soccer at Evangel University

GENTRY -- Amber Ellis, a Gentry High School senior, signed a letter of intent to attend Evangel University at Springfield this fall and to play soccer for the school. She signed documents in the company of family members, friends, teachers and coaches (past, present and future) at a special signing ceremony held in the Pioneer Activities Complex on March 15.

Ellis has been a high scorer -- setting record for the number of goals scored -- for the Gentry girls' soccer team and has won numerous all-conference and all-state honors. She was also a member of the 2015 state championship team and the 2016 runner up team in Class 4A state soccer competition.

She is the daughter of Jennifer and Mike Lundholm of Gentry.
