Barbecued dinner offered in Sulphur Springs
Get a free barbecue meal for showing up at the Sulphur Springs Park between 5:30 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 6. Volunteer firefighters will serve barbecued chicken, coleslaw, potato salad and baked beans free to all as they give back and pay forward to its supportive community. Donations will be accepted.
SSRH to host blood drive on May 16
Siloam Springs Regional Hospital will host a blood drive from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, in the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks bloodmobile at the SSRH parking lot -- 603 N. Progress Ave. in Siloam Springs. To be eligible to give blood, one must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and present a valid photo ID. CBCO offers the following tips for those planning to make a donation: drink plenty of water or juice the night and morning before; eat a well-balanced meal about two to three hours before giving; bring a valid photo ID, required of all donors. OCH to hold craft, vendor festival on May 10
The Ozarks Community Hospital health system will hold its annual spring fling craft and vendor festival Wednesday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is for individuals who own a business, are seeking to offer services, promote their organization or individual event or raise awareness or funds for a cause or nonprofit and for general promotion of businesses and their services. Booth reservations are $5 per booth. Tables and chairs are available for use. All other materials must be provided by the vendor. Gravette Pee Wee Cheerleaders holding sign-ups

GFA Food Pantry open Mondays in Gentry
The GFA Food Pantry at the First Assembly of God in Gentry is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays. The church partnered with the NWA Food Bank and Rural Compassion to receive food to be given away, including canned goods, fresh vegetables, bread and meats as part of the only certified food bank in Gentry. Lions Club meetings held in Gravette and Gentry
Gravette Lions Club meets at noon on the first Tuesday and the third Tuesday of every month at the In-Zone Restaurant on Arkansas 59 North in Gravette. The Gentry Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at the McKee Community Room in Gentry Public Library. New members are welcome and invited.
