Gentry loses to Pea Ridge

GENTRY -- The only score for the Pioneers when they hosted the Pea Ridge Blackhawks on April 9 came in the second inning when Ross Wilmoth, who walked as the opening batter for Gentry, scored on a fielder's choice. Pea Ridge, on the other hand, had runs in the second, third, fifth and sixth innings, before adding another seven runs in the top of the seventh for the 12-1 win.

Ayden Smartt, Kyle Dilbeck, Damon Phillips and Dylan Rayburn all spent time on the mound for Gentry.

The Tigers used a five-run second inning to earn a win Thursday on the road in Gentry.

Kyle Fidler was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Prairie Grove. Cole Simmons was 2-for-3, and Cole Verz drove in two runs.

Jacob Lothes belted a three-run homer for Gentry.
