DECATUR -- A nighttime stroll down the Champs-Elysees, sitting under the Arc de Triomphe, a boat ride down the Seine, and the view from the Eiffel Tower are some of the famous landmarks of Paris, France. For students at Decatur High School, the chance to experience a taste of the Parisian life manifested itself in the form of an imaginary trip to the city of love during the 2018 prom night in Siloam Springs April 21.

The Siloam Springs Community Center was decorated with lights, fine silk and a giant representation of the Eiffel Tower for the "A Night in Paris," the theme for this year's prom. Completing the night was a street artist on hand to draw characters of each couple as they strolled down memory lane.

Seniors, juniors, teachers and guests danced the night away to many types of music from classic rock to country hoedown.

At around 10 p.m, the 2018 prom king and queen were announced. Taking the center of the dance floor for the traditional royal dance were Emily Lydon and Taylor Haisman, "A Night in Paris" queen and king.

The prom concluded with a trip to Lokomotion in Fayetteville for games, rides and an early morning trip around a race track.
