Highfill EHC News

Highfill E.H.C. met in the Gentry Library on Feb. 19. Jeanie Hittson, the club's vice president, called the meeting to order. Two guests were in attendance, Carol Waggnor and Smokey Roudghton. The club had 10 members present with a total of 605 volunteer hours.

The club will be supporting "Piece at Home" and will bring a laundry basket to be filled with homemaking items. Culture arts will have a project every quarter instead of monthly.

New ideas were shared. Jeanie Hittson had a Valentine wreath, fabric boxes and pot holders. Diane Miller had some lovely 3-inch quilt blocks and an applique quilt.

County Council will be April 20.

Linda Coker had the lesson on "Cooking for One or Two," and she prepared several delicious dishes from the lesson.

The meeting adjourned by reading the club creed.

All are welcome to come to meetings, held at 10 a.m. in the Gentry Public Library on the third Monday of each month.
